KURRABA POINT
Interior Design: JEO Space
Architect: James Tonkin, JTA Architects
The brief: transform this 1950s dark, small-roomed apartment with sunken courtyard into a contemporary, sophisticated entertainer's haven.
Working collaboratively with James Tonkin of JTA architects, we opened up the living space by removing internal walls bounding the living areas, raised the courtyard to floor level and re-worked every surface, fixture and fitting in the home to a new level of luxury and functionality. In styling the home, decorative elements were kept simple, leaving the newly planted parterre-style garden as focal point.
"Susan aims for an outcome of the highest standards. She is creative and will consider a range of options; essential when there are multiple aspects of a project to solve ... she also co-ordinates well with the broad range of trades people and other consultants, respecting their skills and input."
